Re-engineering public sector insight at scale
Challenge:
IMPOWER’s flagship Index - a benchmarking tool used by UK councils - was becoming increasingly difficult to manage due to the volume and complexity of data sourced from hundreds of public datasets — all processed manually in Excel. This was limiting the ability to scale, update regularly, and deliver timely insights.
What we did:
Crozier Scott transformed the Index into a fully integrated and automated data platform — utilising cloud data architecture, a custom configuration app, API integrations, and dbt-powered transformation to drive a modern metric store and interactive Power BI output..
Impact:
IMPOWER now benefits from automated updates, a streamlined manual data process, and a scalable platform that enables faster delivery of insights, unlocking more value from the Index and supporting deeper engagement with councils and Integrated Care Systems
TrustMark
Data-driven tools for smarter, safer operations
Challenge:
TrustMark was hampered by legacy systems and limited analytics, making it difficult to audit projects at scale or proactively identify operational risk.
What we did:
Crozier Scott implemented a modern analytics infrastructure using Snowflake, and delivered several key data products — including 100% audit automation, a Risk Prediction Engine, and structured data governance
Impact:
TrustMark transitioned from reactive audits to real-time oversight and risk scoring — with CTO-level support and scalable insight platforms to continue evolving their operations.
